Travel Information

O’Hare International Airport, typically referred to as O’Hare Airport, Chicago O’Hare or simply O’Hare, is an international airport located on the far Northwest side of Chicago operated by the Chicago Department of Aviation. O’Hare has non-stop flights to 218 destinations in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
Alternatively, Chicago Midway International Airport is another major commercial airport on the southwest side of Chicago, Illinois, located eight miles (13km) from the Loop.

Transportation

Getting to and from O'Hare International Airport by taxi is both easy and convenient.
There are Taxi Stands at the lower level curb front (outside of Baggage Claim) at each terminal. Taxi service is available to Chicago and suburban destinations. Please make sure to use the designated Taxi Stands to ensure you have a licensed driver. For your protection, do not accept rides from drivers outside the Taxi Stand or on the departure level (second level) of the terminal roadways. All taxis should have a working meter to calculate the fare based on time and mileage.

  • Fares are based on traffic conditions, but an average fare from O'Hare to downtown Chicago is $40-50

Shared ride service is available to those who wish to share a ride and pay a flat rate to certain destinations if multiple parties are available for the trip. Shared ride fares from O'Hare include:

  • Downtown ($24 per person)
  • McCormick Place ($24 per person)
  • Midway International Airport ($37 per person)

CTA Blue Line

The CTA offers both train and bus service throughout the city of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. The trains in Chicago are known as the “L” and the Blue Line Trains are the easiest and most affordable way to get to O’Hare via public transit.

The Blue Line offers 24 hour service with more frequent service during weekday morning and evening rush hours. You can also connect to most other CTA lines through the Blue Line. With regularly scheduled arriving and departing trains, you will experience minimal wait times.

Visa Requirements

If it is necessary for you to obtain a visa to attend the IASLC NACLC 2022, you can find relevant information about the application process on the following website: US Department of State

It is encouraged that all delegates apply for their visa at least 3 months in advance of the Conference.

Letter of Invitation

An official Letter of Invitation to obtain a visa and authorization to attend the IASLC NACLC 2022 will be issued only after a completed registration form and full payment have been received.
Please contact our registration department at naclc2022-registration at icsevents.com once you are registered and registration fees have been paid if you require a Letter of Invitation. Letter of Invitation will not be issued to parties who are not registered and/or paid in full.
